[01] OBJECTIVES

- Overview of Lockout-Tagout:
- ➢ introduction to LOTO and its importance in preventing electrical accidents.
- Hazardous Energy Sources:
- ➢ identify various sources of hazardous energy in electrical systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal energy.
- ➢ Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) standard
- LOTO Procedures:
- ➢ steps involved in a LOTO procedure, including how to identify energy sources, isolate equipment, and apply locks and tags to prevent accidental re-energization.
- LOTO Devices: how to select the appropriate device for the specific equipment.
- Important of communication in a LOTO procedure. role of authorized and affected.
- Case Studies-lesson learnt
